In 2018, BenCham will continue our monthly EU SME Breakfast Seminars. A new year also means new opportunities, thus, this month's seminar will give you an insight into how 2018 will look like.

China’s economy has been growing steadily in the past three decades and is the fastest sustained expansion by a major economy in recorded history. Optimism about the year ahead, albeit cautious, is gaining ground but there are persistent worries about China’s debt mountain. China’s five-year plan remains to double GDP and household income until 2020. In addition, the Belt & Road Initiative has gotten much more attention during 2017, and more concrete concepts had been put forward. In line with the BRI, the Made in China 2025 is a high-level industrial policy aimed at transforming China into a global manufacturing leader. Promoting indigenous innovation, domestic brands, secure and controllable standards, and localization of production and data appear to be central components of the plan.
Chris Cheung, director of the EU SME Center, will analyze the Chinese market and give us an insight into what 2018 will bring. Moreover, he will also give some recommendations in regards to how to improve business in China.
