The Benelux Chamber is proud to partner with The SwissCham Beijing for the next luncheon on the topic of "Corporate Social Credit System" to give you an introduction and discuss questions related to the Corporate Social Credit System on October 21, 2020 at the Hotel Éclat Beijing.
The Corporate Social Credit System (CSCS) is an ambitious initiative promoted by the Chinese Government that aims to self-regulate the market, according to the ranking obtained by the companies. The CSCS is the result of the collection of big data, that first has to be submitted to the "National Credit Information Sharing Platform", then to the "National Internet+Monitoring System", created by a collaboration among Alibaba, Huawei, Tencent and VisionVera, that is in charge of calculating the ratings. The ranking can be consulted on the "National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System" and it sums up the conduct of the companies concerning all of the aspects related to doing business in China. Particular attention is given to the compliance with new environmental protection and quality of the products regulations.
The outcome is that the companies that obtain a good rating might be able to benefit of tax relief and easier access to credit, while the ones receiving a bad rating might experience more restricted market access conditions.
