The Benelux Chamber partners up with KLM Air France, French Chamber and China Resources in the promotion of the 9th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition that will be held from July 15th until November 4th.


The 9th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is a business event co-hosted by China Resources Group and China Xiong'an Group, supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is aiming at inviting 10 000+ SMEs (both Chinese and foreign) in China to participate in a competition and showcase their innovative business projects. The theme of the competition is green & smart city, supporting the construction of Xiong'an New Area. (with convenient access to Beijing Daxing new Airport).


The competition gives full play to the advantages of Beijing's scientific and technological innovation; and the close connection to Beijing's scientific research institutes, public institution, and universities. We make use of the presence of hubs of growing high-tech enterprises; and hope to attract national scientific and technological enterprises and institutions in order to gather innovative resources and create innovative formats. At the same time, through the competition we endeavour to build a bridge for SMEs to cooperate with the government and large enterprises; and participate in the construction of Xiongan.


The competition focuses on the core concept of "Green & Intelligent Cities". It revolves around three main directions:

  • Intelligent ecological community
  • Healthy urban environment
  • Green & healthy building

Competition Schedule:

  1. Application deadline: August 15, 2020 - Competing enterprises should sign up on the official site of China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition: http://www.cxcyds.com/
  2. August 18 - October 28, 2020: Preliminary round and Semi-Finals - The preliminary round will be online, results will be given based on submitted business plans and supporting materials. The rule of the semi-final is "8 + 7": Each competitor has 8 minutes to present and 7 minutes to answer questions. Depending on the national situation, the semi-final could take place offline at the China Resources University (in Xiong'an). This event will then consist of the Semi-Final, in combination with additional courses in innovation and meetings with potential investors. A total of 20 enterprises will reach the final.
  3. November 3-4, 2020: Final Round - The "8 + 7" rule will also be applied here. Afterwards, competitors take part in the Q&A and defend themselves. The results will be announced on the spot.
